Pepperdine Recreational Facilities

Campus Recreation oversees the use of several facilities on Pepperdine University's Malibu Campus. We primarily manage the Pepperdine Fitness Center, which is located next to Seaside Residence Hall, and the Fitness Studio in the Harilela International Tennis Stadium, which is located next to the Ralphs-Straus Tennis Pavilion at the tennis courts. Campus Recreation also oversees the Cage (outdoor workout facility), Drescher weight room, and the Seaside weight room.

 

 

Alumni Park

Alumni Park is a thirty-acre expanse of lawns, rolling hills, ponds, and coral trees. Intramural and Sport Club events are played in the level field area and the rest of the park is used for recreational activities.

Campus Recreation Upper Field (Marie Canyon Field)

Located along Huntsinger Circle across from the FM&P lot, this field is most often used for Club Sport team practices.

Firestone Fieldhouse

Home of the Pepperdine University Waves, Firestone Fieldhouse includes a 3,500-seat gymnasium, classrooms, and support facilities for the athletic and physical education programs.

Pepperdine Fitness Center

The Pepperdine Fitness Center is located next to the Seaside Residential Hall and has cardio, weight machines, and free weights.

Harilela International Tennis Stadium Fitness Studio

The Fitness Studio located within the Harilela International Tennis Stadium is the new home to to Campus Recreation fitness classes.

Marie Canyon Field - Upper Open Rec Space

Located next to the Marie Canyon Sand Volleyball Courts across from the FM&P Lot, this small grass space is most often used for Club Sport team practices and small events.

Marie Canyon Sand Volleyball Courts

Home of the Pepperdine Women's Beach Volleyball team and the Club Beach Volleyball team, the Marie Canyon Sand Volleyball Courts contain 3 sand courts and are open to the public when not in use by our teams. The courts are located across from the FM&P Lot along Huntsinger Circle.

Raleigh Runnels Memorial Pool

The Olympic-size Raleigh Runnels Memorial Pool provides a spectacular setting for physical education and recreation, as well as NCAA competition in water polo, diving, and swimming.

Ralphs-Straus Tennis Pavilion

Home to the Pepperdine Men's and Women's Tennis teams and the Club Tennis team, the Ralphs-Straus Tennis Pavilion comprises of 9, fully-lighted tennis courts open to the Pepperdine community when not in use by Athletics and/or Campus Recreation.

Tari Frahm Rokus Field

Located at the Stotsenberg Track, Rokus Field is home to the Pepperdine women's NCAA division one soccer team.

The Cage Fitness Center

The Cage is a semi outdoor fitness facility located at the opposite end of the walkway from the Tennis Stadium Fitness Studio. The Cage contains free weights and strength training equipment.

Drescher Fitness Center

The fitness center on the Drescher Graduate Campus includes a variety of cardio machines, a multi-weight station and benches. There is no charge for the use of this facility, but access is limited to Drescher residents. All participants wishing to use the Drescher Fitness Center must complete and sign an acknowledgement and release form. This facility is available Monday - Friday, 7 AM - 10 PM.

Seaside Fitness Center

The fitness center located on the first floor of the Seaside Residential Hall includes a variety of cardio machines, selectorized weight equipment, a functional dual cable weight station, dumbbells and an adjustable bench. There is no charge for the use of this facility, but access is limited to Seaside residents. This facility is available Monday - Friday, 7 AM - 10 PM.
