2015-16 MGBS Officers


Wes Young 


Wes Young is a 20-month MBA candidate at Pepperdine's Graziadio School of Business and Management pursuing a double concentration in finance and dispute resolution. Prior to business school, he worked in the real estate finance sector as a commercial real estate appraiser. During his time at Graziadio, Wes has been active in building relationships with both students and alumni and working to bridge the gap between these two groups. Following graduation from Pepperdine, Wes plans to work for a large firm, assisting in streamlining the firm’s operations as well as leading strategic initiatives.



Luke Caratan 
Vice President

 Luke Caratan is a full-time MBA candidate at Pepperdine University's Graziadio School of Business and Management, dual concentrating in Finance and Digital Innovation & Information Systems. He earned a bachelor's degree in Agricultural Business from California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo. He holds a lifetime of experience in farming and agriculture, with operations and marketing roles at grape, avocado, almond, and orange producers along California's central valley and central coast. Luke plans to use his new skills as an MBA graduate to develop and launch new products in California's fresh foods industry.



Brad Rode 
Director of Alumni Relations

Bradley Rodé is a full-time 20-month MBA student at Pepperdine University concentrating in marketing. He holds a Bachelors of Arts from University of California, Los Angeles in Political Science. During his six years of service in the United States Coast Guard, he conducted several successful open-ocean helicopter rescues, was awarded two Coast Guard Achievement Medals, and coordinated maintenance requirements on four nine-million dollar helicopters. He looks forward to transitioning his background and education into leadership positions in the healthcare industry.

Catherine Neilson 
Director of Communications

 Catherine Neilson was born and raised in Amarillo, Texas. She attended Baylor University where she received her Bachelor of Arts in History. After graduating she was a corps member with Teach for America for two years where she taught sixth grade Math and History to at-risk youth. Catherine is currently a 20 month MBA student with a concentration in Finance. Catherine holds the positions of Director of Communications for MGBS, Vice President of Net Impact, Vice President of GCBS and is an Emerging Leader. Upon graduation she hopes to work in healthcare administration.  




Keanna Banibashar 
Director of Student Life

Keanna Banibashar is a 2016 MBA candidate at Pepperdine University’s Graziadio School of Business and Management. Keanna is highly involved in every aspect of life at Graziadio and takes solace in supporting all of her fellow MBAs. After graduating from The Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandising in 2012 with degrees in Product Development and Business Management, Keanna strengthened her skills while “wearing many different hats” in the international department of global fashion retailer, bebe Stores, Inc. by working in marketing, operations, buying, and merchandising. Keanna is passionate about branding and the global market, which she hopes to use in conjunction with her experience to become a brand manager following graduation. In her free time Keanna enjoys spending time with family, hiking, traveling, relaxing with friends, and new culinary experiences.



Angela Xing 
Director of International Student Affairs

Angela is a 20-month MBA candidate pursuing a concentration in Finance and Entrepreneurship with a SEER certificate. She graduated with a Master degree of Chemistry from Shanghai Jiaotong University in China and a Bachelor degree of Polymer Material and Engineering in East China University of Science and Technology. She has more than 3 years working experience in a world leading international cosmetic company as a project manager in Shanghai, in charge of new product development for the Asia-Pacific area. As a Graziadio Student Ambassador and Pepperdine CSSA member, she has great passion about the position of Director of International Students Affair in MGBS. Angela has a very strong science background, with the experience of MBA in Pepperdine, she wishes to pursue a higher management career level in future.
