Getting Started for Visitors

Thank you for visiting the technology information page for condominium owners at the Malibu campus. This page will help condo owners find assistance for their technology needs.

Pepperdine's Information Technology (IT) department does not make technology house calls to personal residences due to limited resources. Maintenance and operation of personally owned equipment – not owned by the University – remain the responsibility of the condo owners. Please see the lists below for technology service options.

Email Accounts for Condo Family Members

To obtain support for an existing family member email account, please contact the Pepperdine Help Desk at (310) 506-HELP (4357).  Condo residents may obtain an email account for a family member who resides with them by submitting a Network Resources Request form here.

Call the Help Desk at (310) 506-HELP (4357) for the assistance with:

  • Equipment Owned by Pepperdine University or
  • Telephone Services – Land Line, All Condos or
  • Wireless Equipment – Lower Campus or
  • Wireless Equipment – Drescher Campus, Not in Condo

Cable Service for Internet, Telephone, or Television

All cable Internet, telephone, and television services are handled by Charter Communications. Charter Communications can be reached by calling (888) 438-2427. For more information about Charter Communications click here

Personally Owned Equipment

Maintenance and operation of personally owned equipment – not owned by the University – is the responsibility of the condo owner. Information Technology recommends the following three options for condo owners who need help with personally owned equipment.

Options:

  • Contact the vendor from which the equipment was purchased for assistance
  • Bring computer or laptop into Tech Central for assessment. Tech Central is located in the Payson Library on the Malibu campus.
  • Contact one of the computer repair dealers in the Malibu area. For list click here.

Maintenance and operation of wireless equipment on the Drescher Campus, that is "inside the condo," is the responsibility of the condo owner. Information Technology recommends the following options for condo owners.
