All Pepperdine faculty, staff, students, and visitors must register their computer or mobile device before accessing the Internet on a Pepperdine campus. The computer registration system manages access to the University wired and wireless networks, WavesConnect. This registration system associates your computing devices (laptop, desktop, phone, or other device) with your official Pepperdine University NetworkID. It also allows campus visitors to gain access to the Internet via Web or standard VPN only.
Connection Instructions for Faculty, Staff, and Students
- Open a web browser on your device (Firefox, Internet Explorer, Safari, etc.) and visit any web page. You will be redirected to the WavesConnect website for your location.
- Read and agree to the Computer and Network Responsible Use Policy.
- Click "Start" next to the heading of "Pepperdine University Students" or "Faculty and Staff."
- Enter your NetworkID and password. ( Don't know your password? )
- Click "Register."
- Wait for the progress bar to complete or reboot your computer.
- Registration is now complete. You must register your computer or device annually.
Connection Instructions For Guests
If you are a guest visiting a Pepperdine University campus, you will need to register your computer or network device to use our network. Guest registrations allow full access to web browsing, but restricts other types of network connections.
- Open a web browser on your device (Firefox, Internet Explorer, Safari, etc.) and visit any web page. You will be redirected to the WavesConnect website for your location.
- Read and agree to the Computer and Network Responsible Use Policy.Click "Start" next to the heading "Guest Without An Account."
- Enter the required information: name, contact phone, and reason for visit.
- Click "Register"
- Wait for the progress bar to complete or reboot your computer.
- Registration is now complete. You must re-register every 24 hours.
