Purpose
The purpose of the WLA shall be to provide its members with a common forum for expressing their needs and concerns as law students and future members of the legal community and to provide members with an effective mechanism for meeting such needs and concerns. In pursuit of these goals, the WLA shall work for: (a) encouraging admission and enrollment of female students; (b) improved student community interactions; (c) encouragement of the faculty and administration to seek out and employ female distinguished visiting professors and other female faculty and personnel; (d) employment and training opportunities for WLA members through increased interaction with the Career Development Office and the legal community in general; (e) increasing awareness of the domestic and international legal issues women face.
