The Federal Work-Study (FWS) Program is a federally funded financial aid program offered to students who demonstrate a financial need. Awards are determined by the Financial Assistance Office. The program is partially subsidized by the federal government. The hiring department is responsible for paying a percentage of the student's wages. The current percentage is 25%.

How to Offer a FWS Job

Any department that would like to hire students can hire students with FWS awards. Please be sure to speak with the Student Employment Office to see if we have created a FWS position for your department.
