Students should expect 3-5 days wait time for drop-off repairs. Some minor problems can be fixed while student waits. Troubleshooting and Problem Diagnosis for Student Laptops
Tech Central will diagnose student laptop problems for free. Whenever possible, technicians will provide students with options and advice for repair.

Equipment fixes
Tech Central technicians will fix minor technical problems for free for students. If the problem requires significant time or expertise, technicians will inform the client of possible charges for the fix. (Note: Fixes related to viruses, software installation, or hardware are fee-based services.)

Dell In-warranty Hardware Repair
Tech Central technicians will repair hardware on Dell computers that are under warranty. Dell warranties can be checked by visiting the Dell warranty website.

Installation of Anti-virus Protection
Tech Central encourages all students to install anti-virus software when they enter the University. Tech Central staff can help with the installation of this software. Windows anti-virus software, Trend Micro, can be downloaded free of charge. Intego Virus Barrier, anti-virus software for Macs, can be purchased at a discount from the Computer Store for $40.
