Organize your ePortfolio using Sections and Pages

 

Creating Sections and Pages

Before adding content to your ePortfolio, plan the structure of your ePortfolio. Also, remember that you can create more than one ePortfolio with your account, so you do not need to fit all your projects or content into one ePortfolio.

What sections would you like to add to best represent the topics of your ePortfolio? Within each section, what pages will be needed to best categorize your content? These sections and pages can be modified later if needed. You just need an initial structure to get you started. Also keep in mind that you can create more than one ePortfolio with your account so you do not need to fit all your projects or content in one ePortfolio.

 

Adding and Editing Sections

In the 'View Sections' area, click on the 'Add/Edit' tab.

To add sections, click on the 'Add Section' button on the right side. Type in the section name and then hit the 'Save' button.

  • To add sections with customized Web page addresses or sections that you do not want to display within the e-Portfolio (Hidden Sections), click the Show Advanced link.
  • To hide the section, click the 'Hide this section' check-box.

To reorder sections, make sure you are in the 'Add/Edit' tab, simply drag and drop the sections. A red dotted line indicates the area where it may be dropped.

To edit an existing section, click the pencil icon to the right of that section name at the bottom of the page.

 

Adding and Editing Pages

  1. To add pages make sure the Edit mode tab is selected.Digication Modes
  2. In the View Sections area, click the section to which you want to add pages.
  3. In the View Pages area, click the Add/Edit tab.
  4. Click the Add Page button at the right.Digication Edit Pages
  5. Type in the page name and click the 'Save' button. Digication Edit Pages
  • To add pages with customized webpage addresses or sections that you do not want to display within the e-Portfolio (Hidden Sections), click the 'Show Advanced' link.
  • To customize the webpage address of the section you are adding, complete the displayed Section address.
  • To hide the section, click the 'Hide this page' check-box.
  • To return to the page at which you can add sections without customized Web addresses, click the 'Hide Advanced' link.
