Admit Term

Admit Type

Church of Christ

Division - Degree Major : The administrative unit that the student's conferred major is categorized into. (Eg: Natural Science, Religion, Fine Arts)

Division - Initial Major : The administrative unit that the student's entering major is categorized into. (Eg: Natural Science, Religion, Fine Arts)

Full Part Time : Distinguishes students who are enrolled full time or part time at the University. A Seaver Undergrad student taking at least 12 units at the University in a particular term is considered full time; if the Seaver Undergrad student is taking fewer than 12 units the student is considered part time.

Gender

Intl Programs : Students who participated in a Seaver Undergraduate International Program (Eg: Florence, Italy, Heidelberg, Germany, London, England)

IPEDS Ethnicity

Major - Degree :The principal field of study chosen by the enrolled student at time of graduation/degree conferral.

Major - Initial : Major, also known as Academic Plan (PeopleSoft terminology), is the principal field of study chosen by the enrolled student at time of admission.

NCAA Athlete : Students who are indicated by the athletics office, in PeopleSoft, as an active participant in at least one sport.

Pell Recipient : Student who received Federal Pell Grant disbursed award.

Religion Pref : The religious preference as indicated by the student, usually at time of application.

Yrs to Grad : Combined with [Student Count] displays the number of students who graduated within the specified number of years. Combined with [Grad Count] displays the number of the Student Count students within the yrs to grad who have graduated--numbers match Student Count except for "0 yrs to grad".

0 Yrs to grad combined with [Student Count] displays the number of students who have not graduated. 0 Yrs to grad combined with [Grad Count] will always display 0, because this depicts the number of students, found within the [Yrs to Grad: 0].[Student Count].[Grad Count] who have graduated.

Logic Used

Report pulls information for Seaver undergraduate matriculated students who enter as first time freshman or first time international freshman (the report does not look at transfer students). The report looks at information from each Fall term to the next Fall term; the first available admit term is Fall 2001.

The report looks at each individual student who was admitted, matriculated and "Active" for the specified admit term. The process follows each individual student and follows their academic status each fall term until the student's academic status reads "Complete" and Degree has been conferred. Once the degree is conferred the report calculates the number of years from the Admit Term to the Degree Confer term.

First time freshman and first time international freshman are calculated based on the "Admit Type" field in PeopleSoft Admissions. The Admit Type field must have a value of "FR" or "IFR".

The report does not include non-degree students because they will never confer a degree.
