Why I Exercise

I was always an active kid growing up, but it wasn’t until I was heavily involved with Soccer that I got consistent with exercise. Through a knee injury sustained early into my career, my perspective on exercise changed 180. It was now no longer just a source of training for the sport I loved, but I now appreciated exercise for its ability to empower me. Exercise to me is an outlet for stress relief, a way to socialize, a source of discipline training, and just something fun I love to do. I love that exercise gives my body the freedom to do what it wants. I also personally think that staying healthy and being constantly on the ready helps me to serve my Lord (in every aspect of my life) to the best of my potential. It is also amazing to see how when we draw strength from Christ, our bodies can push beyond the limits we set for ourselves, this helps me see God and appreciate him more every time I exercise.

My Promise to My Clients
I want to inspire you through exercise and fitness so that you will feel empowered and confident in your own body. I will tailor workouts according to your preferences, and listen to feedback in order to make your exercise program something you are excited about!

Why I Exercise
I started exercising as a way to improve my performance on the baseball field, but since my career ended, my view of exercise has evolved. Our classes in the Sports Medicine department have stressed the long term importance of a healthy lifestyle, including an emphasis on physical activity, in order to maintain a high quality of life as we age. My long term goal is to be able to run a marathon at the age of sixty and the best way to do that is to focus on finding ways to move in all aspects of life. I exercise now so that my fitness is not a hindrance to the short and long term goals I want to achieve.

My Promise to My Clients
Though I have a background in high performance training, I realize that each individual enjoys working out in different ways. I promise to create a plan that addresses your needs and desires through movements that you enjoy. I will also ensure you perform every movement with correct form by giving a demonstration and helping you remember through verbal cues.

Why I Exercise

This has changed over the years. Reasons have ranged from sports performance to vanity to hobby, but now I realize just how much better I am at everything when I am fit. It affects my mood, my stress levels, my energy, my immune system, my creativity, my enthusiasm, and on and on. I love to move and am fascinated by how God designed the body and realize now that taking care of it honors Him and better equips me to do the good works He's called me to do.

My Promise to My Clients

One size does not fit all in fitness. I will listen to you and design a program especially for you. I will focus on your form and will correct any movement inefficiencies. I will try to make fitness fun and help you rediscover that love for moving you had as a child.
