Mission

Hello and Welcome,

Welcome to the 2016-2017 Student-Led Ministry Program. It is my privilege and honor to work with you as you worship and serve. My hope and prayer for the year is that your experience as a Student-Led Ministry leader or participant yields Christian spiritual formation, developed leadership skills, and times for deep spiritual renewal.

I believe that the Spirit of the Living God is present in and among us. I believe that the Kingdom of God is living and active, being expanded through the actions and praises of God's people. I believe God has empowered you as leaders, to serve as a team for God's transformative Kingdom purposes here at Pepperdine and in the world. We are invited by God to participate in the Kingdom, to receive from and lean on the Spirit, and to allow God to form our hearts to be more like Jesus. This is the work of the Kingdom: For God, by God, in community.

This year, we will strive to live into this Kingdom work together. We will learn about Christian spiritual formation, worship, caring for our souls, and most importantly, how to step aside for God to be glorified. Not one person can do this alone—and I believe this is why God has empowered you as a part of a team. We are here for each other, and we are committed to seeing one another's growth. After all, the sum is only as good as its parts. Our journey together starts now. Welcome!

Best,
