Campus Globe Light Replacement Project - Phase 1
During the summer of 2017, the first phase of a project to replace the globe lights on campus will commence.
The work this summer will include the removal of old globe light poles and replacement with new light poles in the following areas: FFH Parking Lot, West Chapel Parking Lot, East Chapel Parking Lot, Campus Walk, and the Phillips Theme Tower Parking Lot, as highlighted below.
We plan to begin construction in May after the completion of Bible Lectures, and work will be complete in August prior to the start of the Seaver Fall Semester.
After the old globe light poles are removed, trenching and the installation of new conduit, wiring, concrete foundations, and new light poles will follow. We anticipate that work will be active in many of these areas simultaneously.
We are currently in detailed planning efforts to determine the extent and duration of the impacts to each of these parking lots. However, we know that some parking will be unusable during the summer. We will share additional updates as more information regarding specific impacts becomes available.
We will providing periodic updates on our progress throughout the course of the project. We appreciate your interest and patience, welcome your questions, and look forward to ongoing collaboration with the community as the increased level of construction activity continues.
