Construction on the Payson library project is proceeding well with the project remaining on track for completion ahead of the Fall 2017 semester. We are currently preparing for work at Payson Library on Saturday, January 14th that will necessitate a greater than usual safety perimeter around the site.
On Saturday, January 14th parking in the following areas of the Seaver Main Lot will be restricted between the hours of 6:00 am and 4:00 pm, for preparatory activities.
Again on Saturday, between the hours of 9:30 am and 1:30 pm, all access will be restricted in the areas shown below. All areas highlighted in blue will be restricted to construction personnel only.
Additionally, between the hours of 9:30 am and 1:30 pm, the following buildings will be closed as highlighted above: Thornton Administrative Center, Pendleton Computer Center, Beverly Stauffer Chapel, Black Family Plaza Classrooms, and Payson Library.
All other buildings will remain open, although you will need to access them from their entry points along Campus Walk as their plaza entrances will be closed as highlighted above.
We anticipate that there will be an additional day with impacts similar to those highlighted in this email later in the Spring semester.
We will be providing periodic updates on our progress, as well as additional information regarding specific impacts, throughout the course of the project. We appreciate your interest and patience, welcome any of your questions, and look forward to ongoing collaboration with the community as the increased level of construction activity continues through 2018.
