Abatement work within Morgan/Hall 22 is nearly complete, and demolition will commence next week. SoCalGas has been working in Huntsinger Drive over the past two weeks, and is scheduled to complete the relocation of their gas main by next Tuesday, at which point traffic patterns along Huntsinger Drive will return to normal.

As part of the ongoing demolition work of Residence Halls 22 and 23, a scheduled interruption to natural gas service is planned for next Wednesday, February 1st. This outage will impact Residence Halls 10-21 from approximately 10:30 am to 2:30 pm, during which time water heaters and clothes dryers will be offline.

Throughout February, demolition will continue. The construction of foundations and retaining walls will commence and continue throughout the spring semester. We anticipate that grading operations, including the movement of dirt on site and the removal of some dirt to the Marie Canyon Debris Basin area, will begin in April.

We will be providing periodic updates on our progress, as well as additional information regarding specific impacts, throughout the course of the project. We appreciate your interest and patience, welcome your questions, and look forward to ongoing collaboration with the community as the increased level of construction activity continues through 2018.
