New Residence Hall
Over the past month, work on the New Residence Hall has continued to progress well despite challenges caused by several storms. The demolition of Morgan/Hall 22 and Dewey/Hall 23 is complete.
Construction of retaining walls is now underway, starting first along Huntsinger Circle. This work, along with the construction of foundations, will continue throughout the spring semester. Grading operations will commence at the beginning of April.
During the week of March 13th, the project site will expand slightly to include the area highlighted in green below. This adjustment will provide space for the construction of a new entrance to Outer Residence Hall Road.
We will be providing periodic updates on our progress, as well as additional information regarding specific impacts, throughout the course of the project. We appreciate your interest and patience, welcome your questions, and look forward to ongoing collaboration with the community as the increased level of construction activity continues through 2018.
