Construction Update

New Residence Hall

12/12/16

We are excited to announce the commencement of construction of the New Residence Hall. Work on the demolition of Morgan (Hall 22), Upsilon (Hall 23), and the Upsilon parking lot will begin the week of December 19th. The contractor will establish a fence perimeter around the project area as outlined below.

On December 19th there will be a planned power outage effecting Residence Halls 1-8, 10-23, Rockwell Towers, Lovernich Apartments, HAWC, and Pier 18. This outage has been coordinated in detail with the affected groups and, as students will be on their Christmas break, we anticipate minimal impacts.

A second planned power outage will take place on December 30th, affecting the same areas. This outage will be during the University Christmas break and we anticipate impacts similarly will be minimal.

Construction will continue through August 2018, culminating with the completion of our new 458-bed Residence Hall ahead of the 2018-2019 academic year.
