ASSISTANT/ ASSOCIATE PROFESSOR OF ECONOMICS

The Opportunity

The Pepperdine Graziadio Business School seeks a talented Full Professor or Associate Professor in Economics to join our faculty community by August 1st, 2019. The ideal candidate for this key appointment is one who has a demonstrated commitment to exceptional research that impacts practice and transformational teaching.
The School recently completed an ambitious strategic plan called "Aspire 2025". For the suitably qualified candidate, this appointment offers an excellent opportunity for personal growth and impact at one of the nation's leading business schools and is part of a team that is ensuring new avenues for collaboration, discovery, and advancement of a transformative educational environment.
Successful candidates will have a terminal degree in Economics (or a closely related field) from an AACSB-accredited institution, and will have demonstrated high quality scholarly contributions to marketing, strong teaching ability, and meaningful business and/or institutional leadership experience. Candidates are sought at the rank of Full or Associate Professor level. Salary and benefits are commensurate with experience.

Qualifications


● A PhD in economics by Fall 2019  and demonstrated scholarly capabilities in applied economics.
● Evidence of scholarship with research skills commensurate to supporting a robust research stream.
● Applicant must have demonstrated abilities and motivation consistent with teaching excellence and instructional innovation in economics at the graduate student level.

ASSOCIATE / ASSISTANT PROFESSOR FINANCE

The Opportunity 

The Pepperdine Graziadio Business School seeks a full time faculty member of Finance. Degree programs of the School are offered at Pepperdine University's main campus in Malibu, and at four campuses in Southern California including Encino, Orange County, West Los Angeles and Calabasas. The Graziadio Business School is accredited by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB) and offers several master's degree programs and one bachelor's degree program. Opportunities to teach in more than one program and location promote interacting with students from diverse ethnic and socio-economic backgrounds. The School recently completed an ambitious strategic plan called "Aspire 2025". For the suitably qualified candidate, this appointment offers an excellent opportunity for personal growth and impact at one of the nation's leading business schools and is part of a team that is ensuring new avenues for collaboration, discovery, and advancement of a transformative educational environment.

Qualifications

● A PhD or DBA from an AACSB accredited institution with a curricular emphasis in the field of Finance.
● Applicant must have a Scholarly Academic (SA) qualification at their current institution. Evidence of scholarship is essential with research skills commensurate to building a research stream in the finance domain.
● Applicant must have demonstrated abilities and motivation consistent with teaching excellence and instructional innovation in finance at the graduate student level.
● Meaningful levels of industry or managerial experience in a finance capacity.
