Phil Coan is a second year, full-time MBA student at Pepperdine's Graziadio School of Business and Management focusing his studies on the Finance concentration. In addition to his role as President of the Finance Club, Phil is also the Director of Finance for the Malibu Graduate Business Society (MGBS) and an Emerging Leader/student mentor for the 2016 entering Fall MBA class. Phil completed his undergraduate studies from the University of Denver's Daniels College of Business with a BSBA in Finance and minor in Economics. At DU, Phil played Wing position on the school's Rugby team. Prior to his graduate studies, Mr. Coan held various financial analytics positions in industries including Business Process Outsourcing, Construction, Distribution, Branding and Hospitality. In addition to being a seasoned analyst, Mr. Coan is an experienced operational manager and entrepreneur with over seven years of experience in owning and running a successful pizzeria in Denver, Colorado (Denver Pizza Company) that was rated #3 best pizzerias in Denver by Thrillist.com in 2013. Upon completion of his MBA, Mr. Coan plans on undertaking a career in Venture Capital and Technology Start-Ups. In his spare time, Phil enjoys trying new restaurants and hanging out on the beach.
Vice President and Director of Alumni Relations
David Lane grew up in Gainesville Florida home of the Florida Gators. He graduated from Emory University in Atlanta GA, where he ran track and pole-vaulted. At Emory, David received a Bachelor's of Arts in Economics and two certifications in Business Finance and Business Management. From Emory he moved to Los Angeles to work as a commercial real estate broker, marketing multifamily and mixed-use centers to buyers. After two years, he moved on to become a Financial Advisor for AXA Equitable. There he sold IRA, 403b, 401k and supplemental retirement plans to offices and colleges, presenting financial planning solutions in front of groups of professionals. From there he was recruited by JP Morgan Chase to work in their private banking department to sell high level financial planning and banking solutions to Private Client qualified prospects. David decided to leave JP Morgan Chase to study strategy and finance at Pepperdine University's Graziadio School of Management MBA Program. At Pepperdine he is an active student holding roles such as VP of the Finance Club, Director of Alumni Relations, VP of the Digital Innovations Club, Member of the Net Impact and last year was Director of Marketing for the Finance Club. In his spare time David is an avid surfer, windsurfer, mountain biker and world traveler.

Before starting his MBA at Pepperdine, Justin worked as an outdoor adventure guide in Idaho, and more recently, he founded a test-prep and math tutoring business in Los Angeles. Currently, Justin is working as an investment banking analyst at M&A Capital LLC, and is pursuing a career in investment banking after graduation. He enjoys strategizing, improving processes, increasing efficiency, conducting financial analysis, and applying statistical decision science. Justin is an entrepreneurial spirited and creative problem solver with a track record of success for leading teams and helping others.
