Believing bodies are a God-given resource and that healthy habits are an act of stewardship, Health Happens Here 2020 works to create and sustain wellness among the Pepperdine community, empowering students with tools to make healthy lifestyle choices. This is accomplished through education of the physical, emotional, social, environmental and spiritual dimensions of health, therefore contributing to academic success.


To develop relationships with University administration, faculty, staff, and students to organize guidelines and programs that establish a sustainable environment of health.

Utilize National College Health Association data to focus programming on specific areas including physical health, mental health, and safety.

Encourage student leadership in health and safety education.

Develop programs targeting a range of student populations.

Create interdepartmental programming to increase the impact of outreach events.

Utilize a variety of educational tools that includes in-person presentations and conversations, print media, and technology to enhance programming.
