Technology News Retired for a Better Self-Service Solution

Back in August 16, 2009, Information Technology (IT) adopted a NetworkID profile system for password self-resets and email redirection. The system helped Pepperdine faculty, staff, and students create a NetworkID profile to verify their identity for a password self-reset.

On September 12, 2013, IT has replaced that system with - a faster and easier self-service password reset service. Similar to the previous, can be used to reset passwords from any computer or mobile device and bypasses the Pepperdine Help Desk for password assistance.

The new system sends a PIN to a user's email address or mobile phone to reset his/her Pepperdine password. To ensure a seamless transition to the new service, all Pepperdine students, staff, and faculty must verify that they have an accurate/valid alternative email or mobile number in their MyID profile.

Email redirection will still be handled by, but will taken over by later in 2013.
