Information Technology Launches Online System for Adding Money to Campus ID Cards

January 12, 2011. Pepperdine University Information Technology launches today the One Card Web Deposit site, a free online service at, which allows students, faculty, and staff to deposit money on their Pepperdine ID card accounts anytime, anywhere. Money deposited to this account can be used for meals at the campus cafeteria locations, prints, and photocopies. The online site will soon replace the wall-mounted cash machines on campus.

Using the new One Card Web Deposit site, card holders can make deposits, check account balances and transaction history, and report lost or stolen ID cards. Friends, parents, or guardians can also use the same site to deposit money to card holder's account. All online deposits are secure and accounts are updated immediately.

"This service has been a long time coming," said Deputy CIO Jonathan See. "We needed to find a more convenient and reliable solution for our campus community."

For students, faculty and staff, the minimum deposit amount is $5.00; there is no maximum limit. Only Visa and MasterCard credit cards are accepted.

"I'm so happy we finally have a convenient system for this," said Seaver College student, Kathryn Fleming. "I had so many technical difficulties with the cash machines and ended up losing time to them. This solution is more reliable and convenient."

For students, faculty, and staff, there is no fee for using this online service. Guest and visitors who purchase a card will be charged $0.50 to use this online service.
