Setting a Passcode on an iPhone or iPad

Setting a Passcode to access your mobile device is mandatory if your personal device is programmed to access University confidential information such as Pepperdine email. Please follow the instructions below to set a passcode to your iPhone or iPad.

Set a Passcode to an iPhone or iPad

Step 1:

Select "Settings".

Step 2:

Select "General" from the list that appears.


Step 3:

Scroll down and select "Auto-Lock"

Step 4:

Select the amount of time you would like your phone or device to automatically lock after no activity on the phone. One minute is the minimum.

Step 5:

Return to the previous page by selecting the "General" button in the upper left hand corner of the screen.

Step 6:

Then select "Passcode Lock" form the list.

Step 7:

The next screen will ask you to enter a four-digit passcode.

You're Finished!

Your passcode will be saved.
