Assistant Dean of Career Development - Michael Hom
Michael earned his Juris Doctor from Notre Dame Law School in 2004 and his Bachelor of Arts in Economics from the State University of New York, College at Geneseo in 1996. While at Notre Dame Law School, Michael served as President of the Asian Law Students Association and as a member of the International Moot Court Team.
Michael practiced as a litigator, legal assistance attorney and Staff Judge Advocate as a Naval Officer in the United States Navy's Judge Advocate General's Corps prior to returning to Notre Dame. Michael served on board the USS ENTERPRISE (CVN 65), USS DWIGHT D. EISENHOWER (CVN 69), and USS CAPE ST. GEORGE (CG 71). Michael also served with Joint Task Force – Guantanamo Bay (JTF-GTMO), where he participated in detainee operations. Michael was awarded the Navy Achievement Medal and Navy Commendation Medal for his service.
Michael returned to Notre Dame Law School as Alumni Counselor in 2010. Michael accepted a position as Associate Director in the Career Planning Center at Fordham University School of Law in 2011 and rejoined Notre Dame Law School in the Career Services Office in 2012 where he served until this summer.
Associate Director of Career Development - Miriam Benor
Miriam Benor is an Associate Director for the Career Development Office (CDO). She graduated from Columbia University, where she received a B.A. in Psychology, summa cum laude. She earned her J.D. from Harvard Law School where she summered as a law clerk for the Maryland State's Attorney's Office. After law school, Miriam worked for over six years at a New York litigation firm specializing in complex commercial litigation. At her firm, Miriam served as a mentor to other attorneys and participated in recruiting and training. She is also a trained mediator with volunteer experience for the New York Unified Court System's Community Dispute Resolution Centers.
At Pepperdine, Miriam advises students and alumni in career planning, job search strategies, resume preparation, interviewing skills, and networking; organizes and presents career-related programs; establishes and maintains relationships with legal employers; and acts as a liaison between students, alumni and employers. Miriam's primary focus is government and public interest advising.
Associate Director of Career Development - Michelle Feinstein
Michelle Feinstein is an Associate Director in the Career Development Office (CDO). Before joining the CDO, Ms. Feinstein was General Counsel and Vice President of Business Affairs for Grill Concepts, Inc., a national restaurant chain owner and operator. In that position, Ms. Feinstein managed the company's real estate portfolio, negotiated leases and corporate agreements, supervised litigation matters, and handled legal issues in numerous areas, including intellectual property, construction and marketing/social media. Prior to joining Grill Concepts, Ms. Feinstein was an associate in the real estate department at Pircher, Nichols & Meeks in Los Angeles. She received her B.A. in political science from Tufts University and her law degree from the University of Southern California Law School, where she was a staff member on the Southern California Law Review. Ms. Feinstein also has significant experience working in government. Before law school, she spent nearly three years working for the Department of Justice in Washington D.C. in the Outstanding Scholars Program as a Paralegal Specialist. Ms. Feinstein is admitted to the State Bar of California.
As Associate Director of the CDO, Ms. Feinstein advises students and alumni in career planning, job search strategies, resume preparation, interviewing skills, and networking in legal and professional markets; organizes career forums and alumni networking events; establishes and maintains relationships with legal employers; and acts as a liaison between students, alumni, and employers.

Associate Director of Career Development - Smita Reddy
Smita is an Associate Director in the Career Development Office (CDO). Prior to joining the CDO, Smita was a litigation associate at O'Melveny & Myers LLP in downtown Los Angeles. At O'Melveny, Smita's practice focused on securities litigation, but she performed a broad range of litigation tasks on a variety of cases. She also participated heavily in the firm's recruiting program, serving as a work coordinator for the summer associates and as one of the firm's representatives for on-campus recruiting. Prior to joining O'Melveny, Smita had the pleasure to serve as a judicial law clerk for the Honorable Ronald S.W. Lew of the Central District of California. Smita graduated from Dartmouth College, where she received a B.A. in Economics and Philosophy. She earned her J.D. from the University of Southern California, where she was a senior copy editor for the Southern California Law Review. In addition to summering after her first year of law school with O'Melveny, where she later worked, Smita also summered after her second year of law school with Gibson, Dunn, & Crutcher LLP in their San Francisco office.
As Associate Director of the CDO, Smita advises students and alumni in career planning, job search strategies, resume preparation, interviewing skills, and networking in legal and professional markets; organizes career forums and alumni networking events; establishes and maintains relationships with legal employers; and acts as a liaison between students, alumni, and employers. Smita's primary focus is judicial clerkships and externships.
Recruiting and Employer Outreach Manager - Alexis Joyce
Alexis Joyce is the Recruiting and Employer Outreach Manager in the Career Development Office (CDO). She received her Juris Doctor from Pepperdine University School of Law, and her Bachelor of Arts degree in Government from St. John's University. Before joining the CDO as the Recruiting Manager, Alexis worked in the Career Services Office at Southwestern Law School.
Alexis is the primary liaison between employers and students. She is responsible for the semi-annual On-Campus Interview program, and she conducts employer outreach to create opportunities for students and alumni. Alexis also manages the Symplicity website, Pepperdine Law's online job board. Additionally, Alexis is available to review student resumes and cover letters.
Administrator and Event Coordinator - Allyson Wood
Allyson Wood is the Administrator and Event Coordinator for the Career Development Office (CDO). Before joining the team at Pepperdine, Allyson earned her Bachelor of Science in Theater with an emphasis in performance. One of her favorite roles to play was “Cecily” in The Importance of Being Earnest. She occasionally indulges in Macaroni and Cheese (the box with SpongeBob Squarepants shaped noodles because the texture is great) and her favorite cookie is the French Macaron from Bouchon Bakery.
In her role at the CDO, Allyson helps students in making appointments with the counselors, requesting reciprocity from other schools on a student’s behalf, and helping to coordinate all CDO sponsored events.
