Location and Local Culture
Location of Pepperdine's London House
Pepperdine's London Program is located at the Pepperdine University "London House" at 56 Prince's Gate, London SW7 in the prestigious Knightsbridge and South Kensington area. Three of London's major museums (the Victoria & Albert Museum, the Science Museum and the Natural History Museum) are in the same locale, with the Royal Albert Hall and Hyde Park just to the north of campus. The London House has excellent facilities, including two classrooms, which seat approximately 42 and 20 students respectively, a library with desktop computers and a printer/copier/scanner, an additional quiet study room, wireless internet throughout the building, administrative and faculty offices and a commons room for the law students. The on-site library has a limited collection, which is designed to provide support for the courses being taught in the program.
The Pepperdine professor-in-residence visiting from Malibu lives in one of the two faculty flats in the building, providing excellent opportunity for student-faculty interaction. The facility is shared with approximately 40 undergraduate students from Seaver College of Pepperdine University who live in the building and also take classes there.

We would like all students to come away from their London experience with a knowledge of the British political and legal system as well as an appreciation for the culture. To that end, the London program offers lectures on the British political and legal system, a walking tour of the Inns of Court including Middle Temple and a visit to Parliament.
Students will additionally visit a Magistrate's Court and/or the Rolls Building Commercial Court, the Central Criminal Court (the Old Bailey), and the Royal Courts of Justice. Students are reminded that courts, generally, are open to the public and although some visits are arranged they are encouraged to visit or return to them for their own interest and in their own time.
In the local vicinity of the Pepperdine House are three of London's major museums: the Victoria & Albert Museum, the Science Museum, and the Natural History Museum. Our neighbors include the expansive Hyde Park, Kensington Palace, Harrods, and the world famous Royal Albert Hall which hosts a number of concerts, both popular and classical, ballet, and sporting events such as indoor tennis. Buckingham Palace is a short tube ride minutes from our front door as is all of London with it's myriad of cultural opportunities -- more museums, cafes and gastronomic opportunities, pubs and clubs, and retail therapy should you need it. As students, many discounted opportunities are available to you for theatre, cinema and travel, so bring your university student ID card with you.
