Fall 2022 COVID-19 Entry Test Requirements

We hope you have enjoyed the summer and are ready to begin the Fall 2022 term. We are excited to have you back on campus soon!

As you may have seen in the University's message regarding expected Fall 2022 COVID-19 prevention measures, in keeping with Los Angeles County Department of Public Health guidelines, all new and returning students are required to take an entry test within 72 hours prior to their arrival on campus and log their results using a Google form . Assuming you test negative, you are welcome to come to campus. If you test positive, please do not come to campus. Let the deans’ suite know of your positive test, isolate, and complete the University's START Form. Unlike last year, community members do not need to obtain weekly screening tests.

For example, that means if your first day on campus is Monday, August 8, you need to show negative test results obtained no earlier than Friday, August 5.

If you remain unsure how to get a COVID-19 test, please visit your local health department’s website to look for the latest local information on testing, or contact your healthcare provider. Financial assistance for testing fees may be available for those in need; please contact Dean Richards for more information.

Masks

Masks are not currently required except in accordance with University policies and guidelines for close contacts of those who test positive. As always, however, the COVID-19 pandemic is an evolving situation and if incidents rise precipitously it could be that a mask mandate is reintroduced. Please respect the privacy of those who are required to or choose to wear masks.

Our Top Priority

We continue to hold the health and safety of our entire Pepperdine community as our foremost priority. Although all of us may be experiencing some form of “COVID fatigue,” our commitment to the entire community’s safety and security means that we will maintain vigilant adherence to these rules.
