Visa Information

Visa Information for Students

A visa is a passport stamp or document that authorizes the passport holder to enter a country for a specific purpose and particular period of time. Every country has different visa policies and arrangements with every other country. A Spanish Study visa is required for all students who will be studying in Spain for more than 90 days (unless you are a citizen of the European Union). The category of visa that semester students should apply for is a Long-Term Student Visa, which permits individuals to study in Spain for over 90 days. Please note that there are more time-sensitive requirements for students who are on a semester program and an Academic Year program. Academic Year students will be required to begin the process of obtaining an FBI Background Check and Apostille of The Hague in May 2022. Instructions and deadlines will be provided to you, and you will need to adhere to the deadlines to successfully obtain a visa.
