summer 2019This summer we are pleased to announce several faculty certificate programs.  Participants will receive a certificate for successfully completing the program requirements.

It's Back! Flipped Classroom Certificate

Overview:
The Technology and Learning team has partnered with Dr. Chris Heard, Director of Seaver's Center for Teaching Excellence, for a four-day certificate program focused on flipped classroom and backward design pedagogies.  The program itself is designed in the flipped style for a unique certification experience.  During the sessions, participants will practice with an array of technology tools, collaborate with colleagues, and discuss how flipped approaches continue to evolve.  To accommodate summer plans, we will be offering two identical sessions:

New! Hybrid Teaching Certificate Course

Overview:
Join the Technology and Learning team along with esteemed facilitators, Dr. Kyle Murphy (PGBS) and Dr. Chris Heard (Seaver), deliver our new Hybrid Certificate Course. This 6-week hybrid/blended course kicks off with a face-to-face (F2F) session at the West Los Angeles (WLA) Campus, followed by four weeks of online learning via Courses and Zoom, and concludes with a second F2F session at the WLA Campus. This is a tutorial course, designed to get faculty acclimated to teaching and learning in an online environment. Participants should plan on spending approximately between 3-5 hours per week on coursework.
