Pepperdine piloted FuzeMeeting for the 2013-2014 academic year. The pilot began October 2013. A small number of accounts were made available to the community for evaluating this web conferencing solution. Each Fuze account can create unlimited meetings and accept up to 100 participants per meeting.
Although a fine product, faculty feedback guided the university to adopt Adobe Connect as its next web conferencing product for the purpose of teaching and learning.
Pilot Tester Expectations
During the pilot, we solicited faculty feedback. To this end, we asked professors to agree to use the software in at least two class sessions and to record each session. We also required the professors to complete 1-2 surveys to assess their experience with the product. Finally, we asked professors to share a survey with their students for their valuable thoughts. We also offered several focus groups in spring 2014 at the various campuses to elaborate on the survey data and gain a deeper understanding of the web conferencing needs of the community.
The 2013-2014 web conferencing is now closed. Fuze accounts expire Monday, June 30, 2014.
