Frequently Asked Questions

Am I eligible for summer housing?

In order to be eligible for on-campus housing over the summer, students must be enrolled in at least one summer unit (per session).

  Can I request a roommate?

Yes, students may request up to one roommate. Students interested in living with a specific roommate for summer housing must ensure that both individuals:

  • Are enrolled in courses for the same summer session
  • Have applied for summer housing corresponding to the session(s) in which they are enrolled
  • Request the roommate within the Summer 2024 application in the Housing Portal
  • Have confirmed the request

Although we do our best to accommodate, HRL cannot guarantee placement with requested roommates.

There are three summer meal plan offerings that students may choose from. To enroll in a summer meal plan, please email housing@pepperdine.edu with your request.

Please note that neither meal plans nor housing are mandatory for students enrolled in summer sessions. Meal points will roll over between summer sessions, but will not roll over into the academic year. All summer meal points will expire at the end of Summer Session 3 and are non-refundable.

Is there an on-campus summer storage option?

There are no storage options for students to keep belongings on campus throughout the summer. As an alternative, feel free to review a list of our University-approved third-party vendors that offer various storage options including picking items up on-campus, sending boxes home, and storing items during the summer (which can then be delivered to a student's fall semester housing assignment).

Can I cancel my summer housing application and/or placement?

Cancel your summer housing application via the Housing Portal or by emailing our office.

Students may cancel their summer housing prior to move-in day with no penalty. After move-in day, students will be charged the full summer session rate.
