Off-Campus Jobs

There are various opportunities off-campus where students can earn money.

Some of these opportunities are:

  • Childcare (baby-sitting, nannying)
  • Tutoring
  • House-sitting
  • Dog-walking
  • Personal assistant
  • Catering
  • Service Industry
  • Data Entry 
  • Office Support 

Tutoring

To Find Off-Campus Jobs:

  1. Go to the Handshake Student Website at https://app.joinhandshake.com/login 
  2. Click the button to login with your Pepperdine WavNet ID. 
  3. Login to CAS as directed.
  4. Jobs are listed in the lefthand column.
  5. Select On-campus Student Employment in the fIlters section to see all current postings for on-campus student employment.
  6. If you do not select any filter options then all job opportunities will appear.
  7. Look through each job posting to see if you are interested. Follow the instructions for each job posting and apply as instructed. Note that there may be different document requirements for each position.

IMPORTANT: Never under any circumstances should you deposit and/or pay any sum of money to an employer of any kind.  If you are asked to perform some duty of this kind, please report this to the Student Employment Office as soon as possible. Most off -campus job postings are not affiliated with Pepperdine University, and therefore Pepperdine cannot be responsible for false or misleading job listings unaffiliated with the University.  As stated, report any red flags to student employment and apply for off campus positions at your own risk.
