Reminder: Special Events to Remember the Borderline Shooting and the Woolsey Fire
As a reminder, on November 7 and November 8, we invite you to take part in three special events as we come together on the third anniversary of the Borderline Shooting and the Woolsey Fire to continue to heal and to remember. The events are open to all Pepperdine faculty, staff, and students. Registration is not required.
Candlelight Vigil

As a way to honor the impact of both Borderline and Woolsey on our community, you
are invited to gather to hear reflections from the Housley family and others before
joining together in song and prayer.
Time of Prayer and Remembrance
Monday, November 8, 2021 | 9:45 AM–2 PM | Stauffer Chapel
The chapel will be open for a come-and-go time of prayer and remembrance for all community
members to honor the 12 victims of the Borderline Shooting.
Hope Forward Day
Monday, November 8, 2021 | 11 AM–1 PM | Joslyn Plaza
In remembrance of Alaina Housley, this drop-by event will feature music, treats, and
resources from student organizations, University departments, and Alaina’s Voice Foundation
to focus on spreading hope and kindness.
The Counseling Center continues to be available to support students in individual or group sessions. Contact the Counseling Center at 310.506.4210.
