Pepperdine Libraries Presents a Recital in the Rushford Center

On Wednesday, September 23, 2026, from 6 to 7 PM, Colburn School piano faculty member Hui Wu will perform two pieces by Philip Glass, "Mad Rush" and "Etudes, Book I," in the Payson library Rushford Center.

The works explore the expressive breadth of the solo piano, contrasting hypnotic, undulating harmonic shifts with intricate studies in rhythm, polyphony, and sustained momentum. This program captures Glass at his most personal, bridging meditative serenity with virtuosic technical discipline.
