Register for "Roadside Attraction" Lecture with Kenneth A. Breisch on November 5

On Wednesday, November 5, 2025, from 11 AM to noon, in the Payson Library Surfboard Room, join Pepperdine Libraries for a "Roadside Attraction" Lecture with Kenneth A. Breisch.

Pepperdine Libraries is currently showcasing the exhibition "Roadside Attraction: Selections from the Photographic Archive of John Margolies," featuring photographs from the Library of Congress' Margolies collection. As part of the exhibition, we are pleased to host a lecture by Kenneth A. Breisch, associate professor emeritus of architecture and founder of the graduate program in heritage conservation at the University of Southern California. His talk will place Margolies' images in a broader context and will feature other photographers of the vernacular built environment like Eugene Atget, the Bechers, Walker Evans, and Camilo Vergara.
