"Community Engagement: Local and Global"
The 10th annual GSEP Research Symposium will take place on June 25-26, 2026, on the Pepperdine Campus in Vevey, Switzerland. Virtual attendance is also available on a limited basis. This year's theme is "Community Engagement: Local and Global." The purpose of the symposium is to explore and share scholarship on community engagement, enriching research, and enhancing teaching and learning to strengthen lives of purpose, service, and leadership with values and civic responsibility that contribute to the public good.
This valuable professional development opportunity is designed to foster enhanced collaboration and interdisciplinary discussion between GSEP's education and psychology divisions, as well as other schools within Pepperdine, spotlight research contributions from faculty, students, alumni, and staff, and build capacity for engagement with the distinct global context of Switzerland.
All accepted proposals will be published in the Pepperdine Digital Commons, a research and scholarly output repository and service of the Pepperdine University Libraries. View the 2025 Symposium presentation abstracts via the Pepperdine Digital Commons here.
The call for proposals is now open. The deadline to submit an abstract is Sunday, February 1, 2026.
