2023 RISE Summit
The RISE Summit is RISE’s annual large-scale, conference-style event celebrating resilience in the Pepperdine community. This year, the RISE Summit will focus on the physical dimension of resilience: how taking care of our bodies by engaging in movement, practicing healthy eating, and prioritizing sleep are key for our ability to bounce back from expected and unexpected adversity.
There will be two RISE Summit sessions this year: one on Tuesday, February 7, from
12-2pm at Gulls Way Courtyard, and one on Wednesday, February 8, from 6-8pm at the
Light House. Both sessions will have a similar structure, featuring a panel formed
by Pepperdine students, faculty, and staff who will share their inspiring stories
of physical resilience, followed by a Q&A session and a meal from Mendocino Farms
for all attendees. While the 2/7 session is meant to be more easily accessible to
graduate students and the 2/8 for undergraduate students, all students, faculty, and
staff are welcome to attend either of the sessions!
Attendees will receive a sweatshirt and will be entered into a raffle for exciting
prizes. Registration is required as space is limited.
Raffle prizes for the 2/7 session: weighted blanket, air fryer, and Apple Watch.
Raffle prizes for the 2/8 session: Hatch Light, NutriBullet, and a Theragun.
