On Tuesday, March 17, 2026, from 2:30 to 4 PM in Payson Library's Surfboard Room and via Zoom, the Office for Community Belonging and Pepperdine Libraries invite the Pepperdine community to attend the Larry Donnell Kimmons Memorial Lecture Series. Major General Price is a highly decorated US Army leader and scholar with advanced degrees in history and national security, including a doctorate from Texas A&M University, where he became the first African-American to hold a PhD in history. Over a distinguished career, he has held numerous senior command, academic, Pentagon, and joint assignments, culminating as Deputy Chief of Staff, G-1, Army Forces Command. He has served on presidential task forces, authored two books on civil unrest and federal intervention, and has even written and directed a feature film.
The lecture is free and open to everyone, and refreshments are provided. Registration is strongly encouraged. For those unable to attend the event in person, you have the option of participating virtually; the Zoom link will be sent to your inbox after registering.
