Attend Dean's Speaker Series Featuring Lisa Fields

The Dean's Speaker Series will feature Lisa Fields, founder of the Jude 3 Project, on Wednesday, February 5, 2025, at 12:40 PM in Classroom D. Fields will discuss her new book, When Faith Disappoints. Lunch will be provided.

Fields, a leading Christian apologist, combines her deep commitment to biblical literacy with a passion for sharing God's love. She earned her Master of Divinity from Liberty University and established the Jude 3 Project to empower the Black Christian community with a deeper understanding of their faith. Through the Jude 3 Project, Fields has hosted four Courageous Conversations conferences, bringing together influential Black scholars with diverse theological perspectives. She has also developed two apologetics curricula for churches and laypeople, launched a YouTube series called “Why I Don’t Go,” which addresses millennials' struggles with the Church, and led a college tour focused on the question, “Is Christianity a White Man’s Religion?”. Additionally, Fields curates a podcast that covers topics ranging from mental health to the significance of the Dead Sea Scrolls.

Since founding the Jude 3 Project, Fields has earned numerous accolades, including recognition from Christianity Today for her impactful work as an apologist within the African American community. She continues to push boundaries for the gospel’s sake, having co-produced two documentaries: Unspoken, a comprehensive exploration of the Christian heritage of Africa and people of African descent, and Juneteenth: Faith and Freedom.
