Examples of facility emergencies include:
- Smell of smoke or visible flames
- Smell of gas
- Pooling, dripping, or leaking water
- Sewage back up or a toilet overflowing
- Flooding of any kind (plumbing or rain seepage from outside)
- Electrical power outages (more than a light bulb) or blown fuses
- Broken glass from a window or door
- Pest problems/infestation

When requesting service, please make sure to refer to the 6-character machine ID located on the front of the machine that needs to be serviced. This will help Smart-O-Mat identify and address the issue more efficiently.
Microchill Unit Issues
Please request maintenance or service for your Microchill unit by calling College Products at 712.226.3250. This number is also listed on each individual unit. When calling the main line for help, please also have your Microchill unit's identification number at hand.
Technology Issues
For help with technology issues (e.g. wireless Internet connectivity, computer hardware/software), visit the IT Tech Central website.
Non-Emergency Issues
Submit an Online Maintenance Request.
Examples of non-emergency maintenance or service requests include:
- Burned out lights
- Minor drainage problems
- Extermination needs
- Furniture concerns
Please note that the Department of Facilities Services will access student spaces to address maintenance requests between the hours of 10 AM - 7 PM. All loud external work in residential areas will begin after 9 AM.
