Cultivate Community with Colleagues Over Coffee

Human Resources invites faculty and staff to cultivate community during this spring term. On Tuesday, April 9, Wednesday, April 10, and Thursday, April 11, Human Resources will host a community coffee hour with coffee, tea, and refreshments. This will be a dedicated time for colleagues to invest in each other, focusing on what truly makes the work meaningful—the people.

Sharing life abundant in community is part of Pepperdine’s distinction. Beyond the daily tasks, the University is charged with building and nurturing the personal connections that fuel the shared work and life together.

It is only being in such relationships that we are enabled to:

  • Authentically live out the Christian mission through loving God and neighbor.
  • Best collectively serve students and community members.
  • Build a culture of trust where generosity and service are assumed.
  • Promote the ideals of peace by living in harmony with people of all backgrounds and perspectives.
  • Sharpen understanding and challenge assumptions.
  • Promote wellbeing and longevity through social interactions.

Whether strengthening existing connections or forging new ones, Pepperdine is thankful to work in a community that prioritizes intentional relationships and empowers holistic wellness in every aspect of life.

Faculty and staff can register for the Irvine Community Coffee Hour on Tuesday, April 9, the Calabasas Community Coffee Hour on Wednesday, April 10, and the West LA Community Coffee Hour on Thursday, April 11. All events will run from 10 to 11 AM.
