Enjoy a Conversation with Artist Steve Prince
Artist Steve Prince will spread messages of faith and hope that are philosophically rooted in the cathartic nature of the jazz funerary tradition of his native city, New Orleans. His new exhibition at Payson Library features prints celebrating the Black experience alongside a series of linocut illustrations featured in Flannery O’Connor’s Why Do the Heathen Rage?, the new book by Pepperdine’s Jessica Hooten Wilson, Fletcher Jones Endowed Chair of Great Books.
On Thursday, October 10, 2024, from noon to 1 PM in the Payson Library's Surfboard Room, Pepperdine Libraries is honored to welcome Prince and Wilson to the Surfboard Room for a conversation about the Prince's work and his process working on the book illustrations. Everyone is welcome to attend, and refreshments will be served during a reception in the Exhibit Gallery directly following the conversation. Regiser on the Pepperdine University events page.
