Learn About Pepperdine's Unique Language Exchange Program
Pepperdine University has launched a unique language exchange program connecting students and facilities staff, promoting community and understanding on campus. Facilitated by Alison Stewart, associate professor of teaching of Hispanic studies, English-speaking students practice Spanish with facilities staff members, while staff improve their English skills. The program aims to break down barriers, foster mutual respect, and enrich campus life by encouraging genuine connections across language and cultural differences.
“In the end, we are building meaningful bridges to connect members of our community, and I’m so grateful to be a part of doing so,” shared Stewart.
