Register for Hub Summer Book Club
Faculty and staff are invited to join the Hub for Spiritual Life's first Summer Book Club, an opportunity for participants to experience spiritual enrichment and meaningful community during the summer months. The club will be reading Henri Nouwen’s The Return of the Prodigal Son: A Story of Homecoming. The story tells of Nouwen's life-changing encounter with Rembrandt's iconic painting, followed by his pastoral reflections about how both the painting and the famous parable impact our own identity, our perceptions of God, and our relationships to others.
Meetings will be on Wednesdays at 11:30 AM from July 2, to July 30, 2025, in the Kresge Reading Room in Payson Library. Lunch will be provided on July 2, July 16, and on July 30. Registration is required. The first ten people to sign up will receive a free copy of the book at the first session. Please plan to attend all five sessions if you are able.
