Artificial intelligence has quietly become part of how marketing decisions are getting made.
The challenge for many students and professionals isn’t learning about AI — it’s understanding how it’s actually being used in marketing work today, and how to apply it with intention rather than guesswork.
This February, the Pepperdine Graziadio Business School Institute of Entertainment, Media, and Sports is offering a one-night workshop to help bring clarity to that gap.
Rather than focusing on tools or trends, this session looks at:
- How AI is already being used in marketing work across entertainment, media, and sports
- Where AI meaningfully supports strategy, execution, and decision-making — and where it doesn’t
- How marketing leaders and operators evaluate when and how to use AI
- What “applied AI literacy” looks like in practice for today’s marketing roles
- You’ll explore real-world examples from organizations like Netflix, ESPN, Adidas, and the NBA, and participate in guided exercises that connect AI concepts directly to modern marketing work and decisions.
- This workshop is designed for anyone seeking a clearer, more grounded understanding of how AI can be applied to drive better marketing outcomes.
Participants who complete the workshop will receive an IEMS digital badge recognizing applied knowledge in AI-powered growth marketing.
Presented by the Pepperdine Graziadio Institute for Entertainment, Media, and Sports (IEMS) in collaboration with the Entertainment, Media, and Sports Society (PEMSS).
