Spring Semester Tech Tips
Welcome back from Pepperdine University’s holiday break. We want to ensure that everyone’s
spring semester gets off to the best possible start by offering a few tips and resources
to successfully reconnect with Pepperdine.
Students
A nice long break can have restorative powers, but you may need a little refresher
on some basics. Check out our Returning Student Resources page for quick links to common solutions and tools like Courses, Zoom, LinkedIn Learning,
and more.
Faculty
To help you keep up with advances in classroom technology at Pepperdine University,
we have the Back-to-School Faculty Resources webpage. Complete with self-help tips to get you past the most common issues, it
includes best practices, a library of short instructional videos, technical support
resources, along with Zoom and Courses guides and a self-paced flexible teaching course.
Everyone
- Arrive Early: If it's been more than 30 days since you've been on campus, you will need to register your computer or mobile devices on our campus network.
- Update Zoom: Not only is it a best practice, but it's also a requirement! Pepperdine Zoom users need to keep their Zoom app up-to-date to join class, meeting, or webinar sessions. Update your Zoom Desktop App to the latest version to avoid unexpected update prompts.
- Help is a Phone Call Away: Contact Tech Central at 310.506.4357 for emergency support or to schedule an appointment for any account, printing, or other connection challenges.
We wish everyone a safe and healthy return to Pepperdine!
Best Regards,
