Entertainment, Media, and Sports

In fall 2016 Pepperdine and AEG formed an innovative partnership with one big idea in mind: to work together to create world-class educational programs in sports and entertainment management. Since that time, our two organizations have engaged in an unprecedented collaboration, advancing Pepperdine's goal to position itself as a highly visible and active participant in the vibrant Los Angeles community.

Through its relationship with AEG, Pepperdine remains steadfast in its commitment to leadership in entertainment, media and sports as The University's portfolio of innovative academic programs continues to grow. AEG and Pepperdine have also partnered to launch a new internship program, which has offered more than 30 Pepperdine graduate and undergraduate students the opportunity to work directly with AEG and Crypto.com Arena professionals in a major sports venue.

In 2018 Pepperdine and AEG successfully executed the planning, construction, and grand opening of a one-of-a-kind classroom inside Crypto.com Arena, combining the aesthetic sensibilities of an academic arena with an inviting sports-accented hospitality and event facility. Within this space, Pepperdine has hosted numerous signature events, commencing with a special preview event during the NCAA West Regional Finals and the ribbon cutting that brought luminaries from Pepperdine and AEG together in a premier media event. The Crypto.com Arena classroom has also been an exceptional space for alumni, academic, and events, including special speaker engagements and classes.

Beyond the classroom, the AEG/Pepperdine partnership has contributed to the expansion of Pepperdine's network of partnership associations with other outstanding AEG affiliates, including the GRAMMY Museum and Toshiba, while also inviting AEG into the Pepperdine family through sponsorship, awards, and speaking opportunities. Learn more about Pepperdine's community programs.
