Join colleagues as we recognize the significant career milestones faculty and staff have celebrated this year. At the ceremony, President Gash will award one staff member and one faculty member the Presidential Award for Missional Excellence.

Presidential Awards for Missional Excellence
Do you know a staff or faculty member who continuously goes above and beyond, setting an example of excellence in the workplace and community? Do you have a colleague who exemplifies Pepperdine’s mission? Be sure to nominate them to Human Resources by Friday, September 27, to be celebrated during this year’s Pepperdine Honors ceremony!
The Presidential Awards for Missional Excellence are a $2,000 cash award given to two colleagues (one faculty and one staff) whose daily lives in the community are a model for all.
Nomination Process
Members of the faculty, staff, and student communities may nominate any eligible staff or faculty member to the selection committee. All nominations should include specific examples of activities or actions that demonstrate the individual's commitment to furthering Pepperdine's mission, and the positive impact he or she has on others in our University community.
A committee of staff, faculty, and students will review all applications and select recipients. The winners will be announced at the 2024 Pepperdine Honors event on October 23.
Please submit all nominations through this Google Form by 5 PM on Friday, September 27.
Eligibility
- The nominee must hold a regular staff or full-time faculty position.
- The nominee must have at least three years of continuous service at Pepperdine University.
- Administrators with a title of Executive Director or Assistant Dean and above are ineligible.
