Sleep and Total Health
In this informative session, Dr. Nathaniel Yuan, a family medicine trained sleep physician practicing in Ventura and Thousand Oaks, will be discussing the importance of sleep to the body. Dr. Yuan will also be discussing common sleep disorders in adults and children, as well as the overall relationship between stress, anxiety, mood, and sleep health.

About: Dr. Nathaniel Yuan is a family medicine trained sleep physician who practices in Ventura and Thousand Oaks. As such, he is an advocate for a holistic approach to an individual’s health for both during the day and night. He specializes in treating pediatric and adult sleep disorders including sleep apnea, insomnia, hypersomnia, nocturnal movement disorders, and narcolepsy.
He grew up in San Marino and studied at Pitzer College in Claremont as a biology major and music minor. He then received his osteopathic medical degree from Western University of Health Sciences in Pomona. For family medicine residency, he trained at Kaiser Permanete Los Angeles Medical center while also working at urgent care. His sleep medicine fellowship at UCLA provided opportunities to learn sleep disorders across a wide variety of hospital settings including the Veterans Association of Greater Los Angeles, Children’s Hospital of Orange County, and Olive View Medical Center.
When not seeing patients, Dr. Yuan enjoys arcrylic/oil painting, playing the violin/piano, and outdoor sports of running, bicycling, and golf.
