2023 Virtual Pacific Crest Trail Expedition
Join Campus Recreation as we get ready to launch our 2023 Virtual Pacific Crest Trail Expedition!
The Pacific Crest Trail (PCT) is a 2,650-mile-long hike from the border of Mexico to the border of Canada, crossing through the states of California, Oregon, and Washington. During this 10-week challenge, you and your team can walk, hike, bike, swim, ski, climb, kayak, attend fitness classes, etc. to collectively travel half the distance of the PCT. Last year, students, staff, and faculty virtually hiked from Yosemite National Park to Washington (1,205 miles!), and this year we will be hiking from Mexico to Lassen Volcanic National Park (1,321 miles)! As you participate, there will be opportunities to earn epic prizes, double mileage, and attend community hikes and events!
This event was designed to build community, foster friendly competition, and motivate others to stay active and enjoy the outdoors in any capacity; we welcome all students, staff, and faculty to participate!
If you'd like to learn more about Campus Rec's Virtual PCT Expedition and how you can participate, come visit our table in the Upper Adamson Plaza on Main Campus on Tuesday, Dec. 6 from 10am-2pm to ask us any questions and pick up your PCT Trail Guide with all the important dates, checkpoints, and registration info (digital copy attached below)!
