Notice: Changes to California COVID-19 Coverage

California’s mandatory waiver of member cost-sharing for the COVID-19 vaccine, home antigen tests, PCR tests, and drug therapies outside your current medical insurance network will end on November 11, 2023.
 
Until November 11, 2023, COVID-19 vaccines, testing, and treatment continue to be provided and covered at $0 cost-sharing. Individuals enrolled in a Pepperdine medical plan may submit a claim to their insurance provider to get reimbursed for the cost they paid to an out-of-network provider for the updated COVID-19 vaccine.
 
After November 11, 2023, individuals enrolled in a Pepperdine medical plan will continue to get COVID-19 care at no cost through in-network providers. Out-of-network services are available with a member cost-share unless services are delivered as part of covered urgent or emergency care. California-residing employees are encouraged to contact their insurance’s Member Benefits department for more information.
