Emily Shane Foundation Fundraiser: Wings and Waves of Achievement
A Fall Fundraiser Supporting the Emily Shane Foundation
Alumni Park | Sunday October 20, 11:30 AM - 2:30 PM
The Emily Shane Foundation was founded in 2011, following the tragic death of Emily Shane, killed in a traffic collision on Pacific Coast Highway. Following Emily’s death, her parents, Ellen and Michel, were flooded with stories of Emily’s kindness from her classmates at school. Ever since, ESF has made it their mission to empower underserved middle school students through personalized academic coaching and mentorship, while spreading awareness of the dangers of PCH.
Pepperdine is pleased to host the Emily Shane Foundation for their fall fundraising event: Wings and Waves of Achievement. This event supports the Foundation's SEA (Successful Educational Achievement) Program, which empowers underserved students through mentorship and advocates for safety improvements on Pacific Coast Highway.
At the fundraiser, ESF will feature a fun-filled day with food trucks, a petting zoo, live music, carnival games, face painting, and a special butterfly release, while supporting causes that provide necessary resources to students in need and saves lives on PCH.
